Flags of Honor Program

Crestview Funeral Home is proud to introduce our Flags of Honor program, a dignified way to retire American flags while honoring the service of veterans and first responders who have opted for cremation. Our collection site is now open at our Crestview location, 1623 Highway 109 North, Gallatin, TN 37066, welcoming donations of flags that have served their time.

In this unique tribute, each flag we collect drapes the cremation container of a veteran or first responder, ensuring their service is honored and the flag is retired in accordance with the United States Flag Code. Before the cremation, we carefully remove a star from the flag. This star is then placed on a certificate, creating a meaningful keepsake for the family, symbolizing the honor bestowed upon their loved one by the flag.

If you have a flag ready to be retired, or know someone who does, we invite you to contribute to our Flags of Honor program. Drop by our office to donate a flag, and join us in supporting and commemorating our veterans and first responders. Your participation helps keep their legacy alive, providing a solemn and respectful farewell to both the flag and the heroes it represents.
