Curtis Ridley, age 92, passed away suddenly on January 31, 2023 at his home. Curtis was a retired truck driver for Genesco. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. During this time he transported wounded soldiers from the front lines for medical care and earned a number of bronze stars. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ruby Gant Ridley, and son Randy Ridley, four sisters and one brother. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Athel) Blankenship, Gallatin; granddaughters, Holly Blankenship, and Christina (Barney) Katzerman, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and daughter in law Cindy Ridley of Memphis. Funeral Service will be at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin on Saturday February 4 at 11 am with visitation from 9:30 am until service. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roger Gant, Barney Katzerman, Darryl Perry, Raul Figueroa, Dale Middleton, and Keith Perry.
