Survived by wife, Mildred Newman; brother, Mike Newman; children, Angela Renz Jimmy Mason, Jr., Rosie Marie Shamsaie Mark, William Oscar Newman, Jr., Gilbert Newman, Pete Nickens Elaine, Ronald Nickens Charlene, Larry Nickens Ada, Steve Nickens Tina, Robert Nickens; good friend, Jimmy Mason, Sr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Franklin Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
