Violet Ann Brown - Age 79 of Gallatin, passed away January 13, 2016.
Mrs. Brown was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & nurse that had a heart of gold. The words used to best describe her would be selfless, patient, kind, happy, independent & Christian. She also always had a smile on her face and positive things to say. Everyone that she came in contact with instantly began to love her. She loved cooking for everyone, gardening in her yard, scrapbooking, taking her girl trips to Gatlinburg, watching her hummingbirds, sitting on the front porch & most of all taking care of and spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Scruggs Walker & Sam Walker; brother, Roger Walker. Survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ray Brown; daughters, Sharon Davis (Brian) & Debbie Horton (Anthony); grandchildren, Aaron Horton (Christy) & Ben Davis; great-grandchild, Christian Horton; sisters, Dixie Anglea, Faye Jones (Mac) & Patsy Barr (Don); brothers, Larry Walker (Janie) James Walker (Fran) & Tony Walker (Sue); several nieces, nephews & extended family
A Life Celebration will be held 2pm Saturday January 16th with entombment to follow at Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Friday & 12:00pm - 2:00pm Saturday at
