Dr. Thomas Abraham Lincoln, age 92 of Gallatin, TN, passed away May 28, 2017. Dr. Lincoln was born on December 11, 1924 in Fergus Falls, MN to the late Harry Gates Lincoln and Helen Barnard Lincoln. Dr. Lincoln graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, medical school at the University of Minnesota and was board certified in Preventative Medicine. He was the Medical Director of Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN from 1953-1978; he retired in 1986 as the Corporate Medical Director of Union Carbide Corporation. He was an avid writer as was evident in the hundreds of newspaper articles and several books he authored over his career. He also had a great love for classical music and opera; he could spend hours listening and discussing performances. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Halstead. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat Lincoln; daughters, Cindy A. Lincoln of Raleigh, NC and Karen Lincoln Cage (Swingley) of Gallatin, TN; granddaughter, Shelby R. Cage and brother, Harry Lincoln. A Graveside Service honoring Dr. Lincoln will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 11:00 A.M. in the Hillview Section of Crestview Memory Gardens with Revs. Pat Freudenthal and Mary Noble Parrish officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 10-11 A.M. at Crestview Funeral Home.
