Teresa "Teda" Ellis, age 80, of Gallatin, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 1, 2016. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents Dayton and Lenl Fisher.
Teresa is survived by her children; James (Lillian) Giddens and Janet (Garry) Lawrence, grandchildren; Katherine (Steven) Delgado, Katrina Lawrence and Gary Lawrence, great-grandchildren; Eva Rose Delgado and Mia James Delgado. Teresa is also survived by her brother, Darrell Fisher and his son, Darrell Fisher Jr. and step-daughter, Julie Lipscomb. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Teresa was the successful owner of Electrical Supply House. She accomplished a lifelong dream of learning to dance. She enjoyed shopping on QVC, wrapping presents and decorating for the holidays with her family, and family get togethers. Her favorite foods included, open-faced sandwiches, pork chops with rice, tomato gravy and sweets. Teresa was an avid Miami Heat and Miami Dolphin fan. Her favorite place to visit was Paris and she loved Elvis Presley. She was a courageous, thoughtful and giving woman who loved her family selflessly, and will be dearly missed by her family and by all who knew her.
A time of remembrance will be held for Teresa at Crestview Funeral Home, 1623 Hwy 109 North in Gallatin, TN on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 12:00 PM. Friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.
