Sam Allen Murphey

Sam Allen Murphey, born on October 25, 1938, in Jackson County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025. He is remembered as a devoted family man and a cherished member of his community.

Sam's life was marked by profound love and dedication to his family. He is survived by his sons, Gary (Rhonda) Murphey and Michael Murphey, who carry forward his legacy with pride. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and one step-grandchild, as well as a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. His family reflects the love and values that he instilled in them throughout his life.

Sam was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Murphey, who left an indelible mark on his heart. The bond they shared is a testament to the love they cultivated over the years.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the special caretakers, Nancy Kniola and Larry Smith, whose compassionate care and support were invaluable during his later years.

Visitation services will be held at Crestview Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation in Gallatin, Tennessee. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on June 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on June 11, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on June 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.

Sam Allen Murphey's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, strength, and family will remain an eternal source of inspiration to his family and friends.
