Obituary

Roger Dale Hall, 75, of Bethpage, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026, in Portland. Born July 31, 1950, he was the son of the late Marshall Hall and Betty Acuff Hall. His passing marks the end of a life filled with devotion to family, passion for his interests, and steadfast dedication to those he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Hall.

Roger is lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen Hall, who was his partner and confidante. He is survived by his children: Shohn Hall, Amanda (Mark) Schmitt and Shad Hall. His memory also lives on through his grandchildren—D.J., Emily, Kaylee, Kourtnee, Kenzie, Leah, and Andrew—who held a special place in his heart, as well as his great-grandchildren Ellie, Hayden, Easton, Jimmy, and Annabella, who brought him much joy and laughter.

Roger’s bond with his family extended to his brothers, Jerry (Connie) Hall and Mark Hall. Together, they shared not only the ties of blood, but also deep-seated camaraderie and cherished memories.

Throughout his life, Roger cultivated many interests that enriched his days. He found immense satisfaction in tending to his garden, especially when growing vegetables. His love for animals, especially dogs, was evident to all who knew him, as he shared a gentle connection and compassion with the furry companions who graced his home. In his younger years, Roger was an excellent bowler, known for his skill and love of the game.

His passions were wide-ranging, reflecting a zest for living. Roger was an enthusiastic supporter of the Tennessee Titans and a devoted NASCAR fan. His enthusiasm for racing ran deeper than fandom; as a young man, he himself raced at Highland Rim Speedway, creating memories that he would fondly recall and share with his family.

Family and friends are invited to honor Roger’s life during visitation on Monday, July 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation, located at 1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN 37066. A funeral service officiated by Doyle Farris will immediately follow at the same location, beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Entombment will take place in Crestview Memory Gardens.

As we mourn the loss of Roger, we remember a man whose quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering love touched every life he encountered. His legacy will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
