Robert E. Lane, age 91 of Gallatin, passed away March 20, 2019 surrounded by his family. Mr. Lane was born on August 21, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Richard Lane and the late Vallie Stevens Lane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Marie Brown; brother, Richard Lane; and sister, Marjorie Steimentz. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Irene Lane; son, Michael Eugene Lane; daughter, Margie Day Ramsey (James); grandchildren, Lisa Curtis (Milton), Gayla Gosnell, Tracie Dendy (Joby), Chris Carter (Heather), Hunter Ramsey (Ashley); 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and niece, Lynn Flatt. Services for Mr. Lane will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 1:30 P.M. at the Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Crestview Funeral Home.
