Robert William Hatton, born March 16, 1945, was bigger than life. His adventures came to and end July 06, 2025, as he joined his beloved mother Brenda (Thompson) Hatton, his pain in the butt father Harold Hatton, beloved sugar bear Lady, young brother Rex Hatton and his grandparents in heaven.
Family was family blood or not, if Robert loved you, he loved you with all he had. He serviced our county for 11.2 years including service during the Vietnam War. After leaving the United States Army he spent time starting a family from a previous marriage, making memories, causing mischief and loving family and life. From the horses he had in New Mexico, driving a big truck for 40 years, traveling, or kicking around on the land owned in Tennessee, each minute was special. He was a Husband, Dad, Grampy, Friend, Defender, and Encourager. Robert is and will remain in those hearts he loved forever.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Debra (Sissel) Hatton, daughter Shelley (Hatton) Harriman, son Robert W. Hatton Jr. (aka Hotrod), daughter-in-law Chantelle Hatton, daughter Jeanette Jones, son-in-law John Jones, granddaughters Valerie and Rebecca Jones, sister Susan (Hatton) Dreith and brother Robin Hatton.
A celebration of life will be held at his home at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, we ask you consider having a tree planted in any State or National Park across the country in his memory.
