Raymond Lee Hastings, age 79 of Portland passed away September 13, 2018 at his home. Mr. Hastings was born in Nashville, TN on August 12, 1939 to the late Matt and Madeline Hastings. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and football, especially when cheering for the Miami Dolphins. He will be deeply missed by his family. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by the parents who raised him, Woodrow and Ethelene Bass; son, Kenneth Hastings; grandson, Liam Kelly; father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Evelyn Huff; sisters, Joyce Baird and Gwendolyn Potter; and brother, Harry Tanner. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Hastings; children, Tina Quinn, James Hastings (Melissa), and Nicole Johnson (Robert); grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica, Cory, Seth, Hannah, James, Jr., Alyssa, and Patrick; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Jaeden, Khloey, and Korbyn; sister, Mamie Hastings; and brother, Matt Hastings. A Life Celebration Service honoring Raymond will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Combs officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 11 A.M. until service time.
