Prentice Clark, Sr

December 16, 1950 — June 16, 2022

Prentice Allen Clark Sr. (aka P.A. Clark) age 71 of Gallatin, TN passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of Sumner Regional Medical Center CCU staff on 6/16/2022 with his family at his side.


P.A. was born in Nashville, TN on 12/16/1950 he is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Margret Clark brothers James and Sonny Clark sister Margie Little and his favorite Irish setters Kelly and Bentley. He is survived by his older brother Norris Clark. Prentice Clark married Peggi Ferrell on March 24 1970 they spent 55 years together 52 of those years married. Together they had three children Candrice J Thiele (husband Jon Thiele), Prentice Allen Clark Jr. (wife Katherine Clark), Daniel J Clark ( wife Karen Crow) two grandchildren Kenny L Loveall III (wife Kourtney Loveall) and Katie Loveall (partner Sam Brooks) two great-grandchildren Lee Loveall and Bristol Loveall. Loved by In Laws Elaine Broyles, Patsy Smith, Jim and Crystal Ferrell.

Prentice Allen Clark was part of the 545th Military Police Company 1st Cavalry Division that served this country in Vietnam. The Vietnam Veteran received the following decorations: Purple Heart medal, National Defense Service medal; Aircraft crewman badge; Vietnam Service medal w/1 Bronze Star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Sharpshooter (Rifle) Marksman (Pistol); He also received letters of commendation from his unit in Fort Hood TX.
PA went on to work 25+ years until retirement with the Gallatin TVA after retirement he spent his time cooking, gardening, golfing, swimming, and traveling. He enjoyed going to the Gallatin Civic Center where he spent time swimming and drinking coffee with many friends. He enjoyed golfing so much that he decided to start working at the Long Hollow Golf Course for several years. PA had a love for sports he coached and umpired in the Gallatin Little League when his kids were growing up. He enjoyed participating in fantasy football with friends from the Civic Center and watching his children and grandchildren play baseball, softball, football, cheerleading, band and karate.
It is time for you to rest so take that next journey home until we meet again. We will miss you dearly and our love will always be with you.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for all family and friends at Crestview Funeral Home on July 9th 2022 at 3pm. Family will receive friends from 1-3pm prior to the service.
