Nancy Lou Mackie, age 82, of Hendersonville, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
Nancy was born on February 1, 1944, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and was the daughter of Melvin and Jeanette Kramer.
She attended Marshfield Senior High School and was highly extroverted, moving effortlessly in developing relationships. Her charisma was further validated when she was ultimately elected Sadie Hawkins Queen by votes from the entire student body.
She graduated in 1962 and continued her education at Eau Claire Beauty School where she studied cosmetology and business before leaving to start a family.
Several years later, she returned to complete her education. It was during her training that she realized that she had a vocation for sales when she completed her degree requirements at the top of her class.
She ultimately used her ability in sales to successfully run a number of small businesses including: The Ice Cream Circus of America, A Touch of Glass and Wet Pets.
Nancy loved dancing and music, especially classic country. She also took great pride in her yard, which included beautiful plants and featured a waterscape which was her own personal oasis; she also loved camping.
Nancy was known for her kind and welcoming nature and gave generously to others. She truly lived in the moment, embraced life with resilience, and always did the best she could.
Nancy Lou (Kramer) Mackie is lovingly survived by her children, Rhonda Marcum (Scott), Brian Seehafer (Angie), Robby Seehafer (Glenda); grandchildren, Jessica Seehafer, Lexie Seehafer, Tanner Marcum; and sister, Barbara Kohlbeck.
She is welcomed to Heaven by her infant daughter, Brenda Lee; father, Melvin A. Kramer; mother, Jeanette E. (Ably) Kramer; and brother, Richard “Dick” Kramer.
Funeral services will take place at Crestview Funeral Home, on Friday, July 17, 2026.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until service time at 10:00 AM.
Mr. Doyle Farris will be officiating the funeral service in honor of Ms. Nancy Lou Mackie.
