December 19, 1949 — June 7, 2025

Gallatin

N. Gail Estes, age 75 of Gallatin, passed away June 7, 2025. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Casper Dixon and Louise Polk Green. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Edwin Estes, children, Dawn (Jim) Reed, Lee (Amanda) Simmons; step-children, Carla (Vincent) Wehby, and Doug Estes; siblings, Donald (Earline) Dixon, Peggy Dixon, Dwight (Joy) Dixon; grandchildren, Wyatt (Lily) Reed, Jonah Reed, Madelyn Hartman, Wesley Hartman, Corinne Wehby, Claire Wehby, Noah Wehby, Corbin Estes, and Camden Estes.

Gail loved her family and would do anything for them. She loved being “Gigi” to her grandchildren. She was a faithful and loving wife to Eddie. Gail had a fun side and liked to be silly sometimes. She loved to cook for the family, much as her mother did before her. She and Eddie enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the hummingbirds, finches, cardinals, squirrels, and the occasional duck or fox. Her yard is full of flowers - iris, hydrangea, peonies, roses, and more. She kept a beautiful home that always welcomed family and friends. She loved to travel, and she and Eddie had visited many places over their 46 years together. Her loss is deeply felt by her entire family. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” Matthew 5:4
