Mr. Michael Dean Davenport, age 60, of Old Hickory, passed away on March 29, 2021. He was born on December 3, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ms. Henrietta Gammon Davenport and the late John Dean Davenport.

Mike worked 35+ years working for public transportation as a mechanic and in the body shop. He graduated in 1979 from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. Mike had an infectious laugh and loved his family. He enjoyed, boating, fishing, and sitting under a shade tree. He also enjoyed playing video games with his grandson. He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Mt. Juliet, the Masons, and Eastern Star. He loved listening to music and playing the guitar. He was a loving husband, son, father, and grandfather who will be truly missed.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mrs. Chris Herbert Davenport; daughter, Casey Crabtree (Casey); grandchildren, Christian Davenport, Redding Ray, and Macey Crabtree; mother, Henrietta Davenport; and sister, Donna Sparkmon( Jim). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A life celebration will be held at 2pm, Thursday, April 1st in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with burial in Crestview Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12-2pm prior to the service.
