Melvin Carol Horton, age 81, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

Mr. Horton is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Lola Horton; sons Rubin (Carolyn) Horton, Michael (Donna) Horton, Marshal (Susan) Horton, Ryan (Terri) Horton, daughter Kim (Barton) Rowe and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, November 12, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with his grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 11, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm then again on Wednesday from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
