Lewis Reese

Lewis Reese, age 90, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Lewis was born on February 24, 1933, to his parents Morry and Margaret Reese, in Cleveland, Ohio. He and his four siblings were raised in Lima, Ohio. As a young man, Lewis served the Navy in the United States Military, during the Korean War. A month after Lewis returned from service, he was married to the love of his life, Beverly, on October 12, 1956. Lewis worked at General Motors Acceptance Corporation to support his wife and two sons; where he retired after 32 years as the finance manager. Lewis was a loving husband, wonderful father, and exceptional grandpa and great grandpa. He was adored by all his grandchildren.

He was a man without enemies, and was liked and loved by everyone who knew him.

Lewis will be dearly missed, and his family and friends will cherish his memory.   

Lewis Reese is survived by his sons, Dave Reese (Deanna Reese), and Gregory Reese (Cyndi Reese); grandchildren, Daniel Reese, Thomas Reese, Amanda Moore (Lee Moore), Chelsea Hobbs (Josh Hobbs), Aaron Reese; great grandchildren, Emily Moore, Audrey Moore, Harper Hobbs, Aurora Reese, Elias Reese; and brother, Richard Reese.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 56 years, Beverly Reese; father, Morris Benjamin Reese; mother, Margaret (Lewis) Reese; brother, Wayne Reese; and sisters, Sally Bayless, and Joanne Hubbard.  

A memorial service will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., at Crestview Funeral Home, with Bro. Don Hutchinson, officiating. Visitation with the Reese family will begin two hours before service time, at 11:00 A.M..

Military Honors will be rendered in Crestview Memory Gardens, at 2:00 P.M., with burial to immediately follow.

After funeral services are complete, there will be a celebration of life to honor Mr. Lewis Reese, in Crestview Funeral Home, until 5:00 P.M..

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville.
