Justin Taylor Butler

December 11, 1986 — June 8, 2024

Hendersonville, TN

Justin Taylor Butler, age 37, of Hendersonville, TN, a man with the heart the size of the UT Vols stadium passed away unexpectedly on June 8th, 2024. Justin was born on December 11th, 1986, in Nashville, TN to Skip and Terri Butler. Justin is preceded in death by his grandparents Goldman and Dolly Butler, and John and Thelma Bell. He is survived by his parents Skip and Terri Butler, sister Ashley (Adam) Cox, and niece Camryn Cox. He is also survived by his aunt Vicki (Jere) Holt, uncle John Bell, and his cousins Jere, Lindsey, Brent, Melissa and Spence, as well as many other relatives and friends. Most importantly, Justin leaves behind the love of his life, his son, Jaxton “Jax” Butler.

Justin and his family moved to Gallatin, TN at a very young age. He was a graduate of the Station Camp High School Class of 2005. Justin would go on to further his education at Vol State Community College before attending Middle Tennessee State University. When he entered the work force, Justin would spend a decade serving at the Tennessee State Capitol for the general assembly before embarking on a new career path. He would go on to work with his cousin, Brent, doing contracting work. It was there that lead him into the flooring distribution industry. In two short years, Justin was able to work his way up to the branch manager position at EJ Welch. His work ethic and leadership were truly unparalleled, leaving a lasting impact on all those he encountered. His hard work and dedication were all for his family. Justin's proudest accomplishment was being a father; his son held an irreplaceable space in his heart and was truly the center of his world. The legacy of love and devotion he leaves behind is a testament to the remarkable man he was. The two were inseparable, cooking wonderful meals for him, and genuinely making sure that he was taken care of. Forever instilling a father’s love and care into his son.

Described as fun, silly, goofy, and selfless by those who knew him best, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome in his presence. Justin's playful and kind-hearted nature shone through in every interaction.  His warm personality and generous spirit touched countless lives and created cherished memories that will endure for years to come.

Justin will be fondly remembered for his love of sports. Whether it was cheering on the Tennessee Titans at football games or passionately supporting the Atlanta Braves, his enthusiasm was infectious. ESPN always on his television screen, reflecting his unwavering passion for sports. One of his greatest joys was teaching his son the ins and outs of baseball, passing down his love for the game to the next generation.
