Judith Ann Payne, age 73 of Hendersonville and formerly of Townsend, TN, passed away April 3, 2017 at her home. Judy was born on February 1, 1944 in Townsend to the late Roy and Betty Sullivan. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter; she enjoyed her family, quilting, reading, traveling the world, gardening, cooking and watching her grandson play various sports. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, David Payne and her son, Martin Payne. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Kane (Earl); grandson, Ian Kane; sister, Helen Perkins (Huette); brother, Jerry Sullivan (Jean); several nieces and nephews. A Life Celebration Service honoring Judy will be held on Thursday, April 6th at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Hendersonville. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at Crestview Funeral Home and Thursday from 10 A.M. until service time at the church. Mrs. Payne will be entombed on Friday, April 7th at 3:00 P.M. EST at the Mausoleum in Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, TN.
