Jose Bernal passed away peacefully, at his home October 17th, 2022, at the age of 66, surrounded by his family. Jose was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1956, where he lived until he was 32 years old and immigrated to New York City in 1988 where he worked as a Cab Driver for many years. In 2006, Jose moved to Gallatin, TN where he lived with his family for the last 16 years until his passing.

He was known as the life of the party. Everyone loved Jose’s parties because he would bring his large speakers and DJ equipment and played music all night. He always stood his ground being a Red Sox fan, living in a family full of Yankee fans.

Jose is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Cristina Bernal, and Mother-in-Law Pilar Espinal.

He is survived by his father, Guillermo Bernal; wife, Manuela Bernal; children, Randy and Alex Bernal; Brothers, Rafael and Dario; Sisters, Carmen, Doris and Candida; by his grandchildren, Abel and Olivia Bernal, and many family and friends who loved him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life Saturday, October 22nd at Crestwood Funeral Home; located at 1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN 37066, from 12 – 2pm. Funeral service will take place at 2pm, followed by burial at 3pm.

José Bernal falleció en paz, en su casa el 17 de octubre del 2022, a los 66 años, rodeado de su familia. José nació en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana en 1956, donde vivió hasta los 32 años y emigró a la ciudad de Nueva York en 1988, donde trabajó como taxista durante muchos años. En 2006, José se mudó a Gallatin, TN, donde vivió con su familia durante los últimos 16 años hasta su fallecimiento.

Era conocido como el alma de la fiesta. A todos les encantaban las fiestas de José porque traía sus grandes parlantes y equipo de DJ y ponía música toda la noche. Siempre se mantuvo firme siendo fanático de las Medias Rojas, viviendo en una familia llena de fanáticos de los Yankees.

A José le precedieron en la muerte su madre, María Cristina Bernal, y su suegra, Pilar Espinal.

Le sobreviven su padre, Guillermo Bernal; esposa, Manuela Bernal; hijos, Randy y Alex Bernal; Hermanos, Rafael y Darío; Hermanas, Carmen, Doris y Cándida; sus nietos, Abel y Olivia Bernal, y muchos familiares y amigos que lo querían mucho.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a asistir a una celebración de vida el sábado 22 de octubre en Crestwood Funeral Home; ubicado en 1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN 37066, de 12 a 2 p. m. El funeral se llevará a cabo a las 2pm, seguido del entierro a las 3pm.
