John Tucker

John Thaxton Tucker passed away at the age of 86, on June 2, 2023 from a lengthly illness of parkinsons. John was born on July 22, 1937. He graduated from Cheatam County High School, and the University of Tennessee. John worked for the department of Labor Bureau of Statistics for 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonvile.

John Thaxton Tucker is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Payne; son, John T. Tucker (Karen); daughter, Melissa Tucker Mead (the late Mike); grandchildren, Thaxton Mead, Jessica Tucker, Sean Tucker, and Ethan Tucker; great grandchild, Celia Tucker; siblings, Betsy Anderson, Nancy Carney, Toni Locke, Ruthe Short, Preston Tucker, Ruse Tucker, and twin brother, Harry Tucker.

John was preceded in death by his father, Ruse Anthony Tucker; mother, Mary Elizabeth (Thaxton) Tucker.
