Joanna Moore Taylor

Joanna Moore (Fykes) Taylor was born January 24, 1941.

She was the fourth child to her parents, Audie and Alma Fykes. In her early years she lived in the Oak Grove community and went to Oak Grove grade school, and attended Westmoreland Highschool.

Joanna married George Allen Taylor on August 22, 1959; to this union was born one son, Christopher Allen Taylor.

Joanna worked as a hairdresser in Gallatin for many years, retiring in her late 70’s. She owned a used furniture store and also sold real estate.

Joanna professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour, and was looking forward to going home to be with Him.

Joanna Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Audie Fykes; mother, Alma (Fleming) Fykes; 3 sisters, Margaret Fykes, Jean Caldwell, Wilda Creasy Haley; nephew, Timothy Creasy; and only son, Christopher Allen Taylor, who was her pride and joy.

She is survived by her niece, Brenda Roach Caldwell; great-niece, Terri Roach; and great-nephews, Kyle Creasy, and Chad Creasy.
