Mrs. Jessie Porter, age 71, of Gallatin, passed away on April 17, 2021. She was born on September 4, 1949 in Gallatin TN to the late Edd and Selma Pruitt (Wix). She is also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Pruett; and her husband of 49 years, Mr. Larry Porter.

Jessie was employed by JCPenny and later by Nationwide Studios. She loved to travel, read, work crosswords, and play games like sudoku and candy crush. She also enjoyed the get togethers with friends from her Gallatin High School class of 1968. She loved her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her wonderful and loving neighbors for all their help.

Survivors, Daughter, Heather Weldon, Granddaughter, Mackenzie Weldon, Sister, Pat Schlosser (John), Brother, Richard Pruitt (Debbie), Sister-in-laws, Bonita Steele (Kevin) and Jeanie Dean (Thomas) and many nieces and nephews.

A life celebration will be held at 12pm, on Thursday, April 22nd in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Wednesday, and again from 10-12pm prior to the service on Thursday.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
