Born into a close-knit family, Jay shared a special bond with his father, Gregory Bartley. Jay's mother, Vicki Janis, provided unwavering support and love throughout his journey. His brothers Kent Bartley, married to Deanna Bartley, and Bobby Bartley, married to Drea Bartley, were not only brothers by blood but also lifelong friends who stood by his side through thick and thin.
Jay had an immense love for his nieces and nephews. Jay.D. Bartley, Abigail Bartley, Luke Bartley, Savanna Bulson, Mason Bulson, Ashley Applegate, and Madi and Nolan Vavra brought immense joy to his life. Jay took great pride in being an uncle and cherished the time spent with each of them.
It was impossible to talk about Jay without mentioning Megan Pierce – his long-time partner and the love of his life. Their relationship was built on trust and mutual understanding, standing the test of time until Jay's last moments. Their unwavering support for one another was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Aside from his familial relationships, Jay had a zest for life that was evident in his hobbies and interests. He had an insatiable wanderlust but preferred to satisfy it by traveling exclusively by car. Exploring new terrains while behind the wheel filled him with excitement that words can hardly capture. Desert racing was another passion that ignited Jay's spirit – the adrenaline rushing through his veins as he conquered challenging tracks brought him undeniable exhilaration.
Jay also possessed remarkable skills as an automotive enthusiast. Working on cars became more than just a profession; it was an expression of artistry for him. His talent and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends. Jay's meticulous craftsmanship brought vehicles back to life, ensuring they would run smoothly on the open road once again.
