Gheorghe Ghita

Gheorghe Ghita, age 90, of Castalian Springs, embraced the arms of his heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1934, in Unirea Calarasi, Romania. Gheorghe worked as a brick mason for many years, specializing in constructing fireplaces. He was also a farmer and raised livestock such as cows, goats, sheep, and chickens. Gheorghe had a deep appreciation of nature and the outdoors, and he enjoyed traveling all over the United States. Gheroghe was a man of great faith and practice; he has been a member of Bethel Romanian Church of God the past 20 years. He taught his children to pray and instilled the importance of loving others and good morals by his own example. Gheorghe was an endearing husband, wonderful father, loving grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was never one to judge another and offered a great sense of security.

His family and friends will remember his contagious laughter, and outrageous story telling.

To know him was to love him, and he leaves behind a legacy that could only be admired.

Although it is with deep heartache to say goodbye, his family takes peace that Gheorghe is with the Lord and they will see him again.

Gheorghe Ghita is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Aurica Ghita; children, Eremia Ghita (Doina), Emilia Todor (Partenie), Gabriela Suiogan (Vasile), Livio Ghita (Cornelia), Patricia Tabitha Ghita, Daniela Stoian (Costel), David Ghita, Samuel Ghita, Christina Mateut (Ovi), Jullian Ghita (Ravé), Adrian Ghita (Maria), Jonathan Ghita (Tania), Rebecca Oltean (Marius); 33 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren, on the way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Manta Bogde; mother, Smaranda Bogde; and his siblings, Ionel, Nicu, Marioara, Ioana, Tache, Fanel, Vasile, and Marin.

Crestview Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements of Mr. Gheorghe Ghita. All funeral services will be held at Bethel Romanian Church of God, located 585 Harris Lane, Gallatin, TN, 37066.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

The funeral service in honor of Gheorghe Ghita will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.

Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M., in Hendersonville Memory Gardens, located 353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075.

Those serving as pallbearers are Eremia Ghita, Livio Ghita, David Ghita, Samuel Ghita, Jullian Ghita, Adrian Ghita, and Jonathan Ghita.
