Eddie Ray Walden, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on July 3, 1949, in Nashville, he dedicated his life to his family, community, and country.
Eddie was a proud member of the U.S. Navy, serving his country with honor and distinction. He was a member of Gallatin First United Methodist Church, where he was known for his kind spirit and unwavering faith.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Walden, who stood by him through all of life's trials and triumphs. His legacy will continue through his sons, Jason Walden and Jeff Walden (Linda Meritt), as well as his granddaughter, Brittany Walden. Eddie took great joy in his great-grandchildren, Peyton and Killian Walden, cherishing the moments spent with them.
He is also survived by his brother, Bill "Buck" Walden, and his sister, Jennette Mangrum (W.A), who will remember him fondly and carry forward his values of love and compassion.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Veneta Walden, and his brother, Leroy Walden. Their memories will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved him, and Eddie’s gentle spirit will be profoundly missed.
As we remember Eddie Ray Walden, we celebrate a life well-lived—a man of integrity and kindness whose impact on those around him will resonate for years to come.
