Dick Braden - Age 69, of Madison, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2016.
Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He was also a gifted architect, musician and artist. Dick was influenced in life by his parents, brothers, wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed painting with watercolors, reading spy novels, architecture, eating out, sweets, attending church, photography and Auburn football. Dick had the gift of being a musician, playing the banjo, tuba and listening to bluegrass music and Willie Nelson. Dick felt most comfortable being surrounded by family at home, the lake, being behind a camera or browsing at local bookstores. He enjoyed family activities such as taking his children to birthday dinners, the annual Braden Dove Hunt, fishing with his children and grandchildren, and flying model airplanes with his grandchildren. Dick will be dearly missed by his loving family and by all those that knew him.
Survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Becky McConnell Braden; loving children, Ashley Braden Feltner (Gabe); Arvin Dixon Braden, III (Tracy), Winnie Braden Rose (Kevin) and John William Braden (Sally); adoring grandchildren, Annabel Feltner, Grace Feltner, Arvin Dixon Braden IV, Julia Braden, Abigail Rose & Braden Rose; brothers, David Braden (Paula) & Steve Braden (Cathy); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
A service will be held 9:30am, Saturday at The Cathedral of the Incarnation (2100 West End Ave, Nashville, TN, 37203). Please join the family as they celebrate the life of Dick Braden with a reception at the residence of Ashley Braden Feltner.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Braden's name to the charity of your choice or Adoration Hospice, who cared for him the last year of his life.
