Age 36, of Gallatin, her body came to rest on the morning of December 12, 2015 surrounded by her family. After more than two courageous years battling cancer she never let the disease define who she was. Denise is still a true inspiration to everyone who met her and her legacy will be felt generation after generation.

Denise was a true caregiver as a mother, wife, sister, friend and co-worker in everything she did. She is a Christian made anew in Heaven singing a song of peace watching over her family and friends. "All things are possible if you BELIEVE" - Mark 9:23

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Andy & Anna Andrews; paternal grandparents, Philip & Martha Moss. Survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Michael Upchurch; 2 adoring children, Jeremy Everett Upchurch and Mason Philip Upchurch; parents, Barbara Andrews Moss & Philip Moss; sister, Tara Shaffman (Brian) & Micah Moss (Emily); several nieces, nephews, extended family members & friends.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Church, Alive Hospice, The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center or the charity of your choice.
