Debbie Schimbke

Debbie Schimbke, age 73, of Gallatin, entered into rest on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

She was born on May 24, 1952, in Lorain, Ohio.

Debbie worked at First Express, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee, for 25 years. Her integrity and strong work ethic made her retirement bittersweet for her work family.

Outside of the office, Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She adored all her grandchildren, who called her Nana.

Debbie was the happiest spending time with her family, and she did so often. Her family will cherish their memories of the countless date nights, fanatic shopping trips together, and her sassy banter.

She will be deeply and dearly missed.

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn (Berry) Schimbke is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, James Schimbke; sons, Jeffery Lowe, Michael Lowe; daughter, Kristina Jaynes (Travis); grandchildren, Taylor Lowe (Destiny Skinner), Eli Jaynes, Jacob Jaynes, Colin Janes, Lillian Jaynes; great-grandchildren, Sophia Lowe, Brilee Lowe, Miles Lowe; brother, Jason Berry (Tabitha); nephew, Ryan Berry; niece, Jayme Berry; sister-in-law, Jean Berry.

She was preceded in death by her father, RJ Berry; mother, Alma Berry; brother, Randy Berry; sister, Lorie Raymer; and brother-in-law, Terry Raymer.
