David McKoin, age 67, of Hartsville, departed on October 25, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1959, in Gallatin, Tennessee.

David began his first job as a dairy clerk for Kroger, at the age of 17. During his career of over 45 years, David only missed a handful of days before he retired. He was a loyal employee and had a strong work ethic.

David was committed to living a simple life, where he never owned a cell phone, enjoyed watching football, and valued routine.

Although David preferred solitude, he was very loving, kind, and gentle to his family. David opened his heart and his home to those that needed him. He was always grateful for what he had and never complained.

David will be remembered for his strength, stoic nature, and dedication to his family.

David Roy McKoin Sr. will be dearly missed by his wife of 41 years, Amanda (Tomberlain) McKoin; children, Josh McKoin, David McKoin Jr., Steven McKoin, Danielle King (Andrew), Hunter McKoin (Destiny); grandchildren, Dee McKoin, Sarah King, Braxton McKoin, Madelynn McKoin; and siblings, Oneida McKoin, John McKoin, Mary Wright, James McKoin, William McKoin, Virginia Cothron; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry S. Mckoin Jr.; mother, Norma Oneida (McCaleb) McKoin; brother, Henry McKoin lll; and his sister, Georgianna Fortier.

Funeral Services in honor of David McKoin Sr., will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM, until time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow in Crestview Memory Gardens.
