Charles Edward "Charlie" Keaton, age 82 of Gallatin, entered his eternal rest on January 7, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Keaton and his father, George Keaton; son, Jimmy Ray Keaton; two baby boys and his brother, George Gilmore Keaton. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Brenda Keaton; children, Jeanne Barnard (Buster), Tammy Vaughn (Jim), and Ken Davis (Robin); brother, Ray Keaton; two sisters, Margaret Harrell and Ruth Watts; grandchildren, Megan Barnard, Charlsey Keaton, Dillon Davis (Kelli), Kendra Davis, Jamie Vaughn, Kelly Bates (Jeff), and Lori Hardin (Shaun); and four great-grandchildren. Charlie's life was spent in service to the people of Nashville as a Metro Firefighter for 32 years. He retired from Engine Company 20 and was a member of the Nashville Firefighters Association Local 140. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Wednesday, January 9th at 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Rev. Jeff Lake officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 3-7 P.M. and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time all at the church.
