Charles H. Glover, Jr., affectionately known as Charlie, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on January 16, 1948, in Barberton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Howard Glover, Sr., and Twila DeLong Glover Adcock.

Charlie was a proud graduate of Gallatin High School, Class of 1968. He went on to serve his country with honor as a Military Policeman in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His patriotism remained a defining part of his life, and he was an active member ad known as Old Man with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, embracing its mission of “Vets helping vets.” He loved his country, God, and his family deeply.

In Gallatin, Charlie was well known as the owner and operator of Charlie’s Golf Carts on Joslin Avenue. Through his work, he became a familiar and appreciated presence in the community. He was also a longtime member of Old Union Church of Christ and was active in several organizations that reflected his values and interests, including the Elks Lodge, the American Legion, and the VFW. Charlie also enjoyed many years as a member of Gallatin Country Club, remaining involved there until he was no longer able to golf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Mosley and her husband Barry, and his brother-in-law Jack Williams.

Above all, Charlie treasured his family. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy Ruth Elliott Glover, whose companionship and love were central to his life. He also leaves behind his sons, Chris (Jennifer) Glover and Troy (Jamie) Glover, Josh (Karen) Hamlett and Kyle (Kelly) Hamlett. He is further survived by his sister, Virginia Williams, and his brother, Kenny (Charlotte) Glover.

Charlie’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Libby (Caleb) Kingrey, Ally (Lane) Troutt, Caleb Glover, Chase (Kala) Glover, Carlie (Justin) Buck, Cerenity Glover, Donavon (Kara) Hamlett, and Max Hamlett, as well as his great-grandchildren, Colt, Luna, Emmett, Brynlee, Jaxon, Iris, Averie, Xander, Stella, and Daisy, his faithful dog, who was a cherished companion.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, September 16, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Crestview Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation, 1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN 37066. A Celebration of Life officiated by Ronnie Tennant will follow there from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Following the service, military graveside rights will take place in Crestview Memory Gardens.

Charlie will be remembered with love for his devotion to faith, family, country, and community. His life was marked by service, loyalty, and a steady presence that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
