Charles R. "Chuck" Barham, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away February 10, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Chuck was born in Reidsville, NC on May 8, 1935 to the late William Lane Barham and the late Edith Dunagan Barham. He served in the U.S. Army, joining just a few months after turning 17; he was an electrician, a member of the IBEW #429 in Nashville. Chuck was a member of Portland First Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge and the Al Menah Shrine Temple; he was a proud donor to the American Red Cross, donating over 15 gallons throughout his life. He was an extremely outgoing person who lived life to the fullest, and he will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rebecca "Becky" Barham; daughters, Greta Frensley and Melody Draper (Joseph); grandchildren, Katie Burdette (Harold), Jacob Frensley, Jillian Draper, Thomas Draper, and Daniel Draper; siblings, Opal Apple, Nelson Barham, and Linda Trent. Funeral Services honoring Chuck will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Patton officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12th from 5-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief, Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, or by donating blood to the American Red Cross.
