Obituary

Callie Park, age 84, of Gallatin, peacefully departed this world on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Tootsie (as she was lovingly known by her family) was born March 29, 1941 in Atoka, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Johnny H. Park, in December 1956 at the age of 15. They were married and shared their life together for 68 years. They orginally made their home in Arlington, Texas where she owned her own hair salon. Upon retirement they moved to a farm in Miller, Oklahoma where Tootsie enjoyed her pristine flower beds, quilting and crocheting. Tootsie loved working crossword puzzles. Tootsie and Johnny relocated to Gallatin, TN in 2005 to be closer to family.

Callie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was our “Maw”. She truly adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maw loved family Sunday dinners and making baked good for the great-grandchildren.

Callie will be remembered as a determined woman, who was very candid with her thoughts and opinions. If you wanted an honest opinion regarding a matter, she was your source.

Callie LaVaughn (Moore) Park is survived by her son Johnny Earl Park (Sondra), grandsons, John W. Park (Carrie) and Clint R. Park (Holly); great-grandchildren Tanner Park, Tucker Ann Park, Dylann Jade Park, and Sawyer Cash Dennison.

The Park family is comforted by the fact that Tootsie is finally at peace and reunited with her loved ones that have passed before her. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 68 years, Johnny H. Park; daughter Sheila Jan (Park) Hunt; son-in-law Mark Hunt; Father, Bill Moore; Mother, Nettie (Maxey) Moore; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Inurnment will take place in Crestview Memory Gardens, following the cremation of Callie Park.
