Betty Jean Kinnard - Age 74 of Castalian Springs passed away November 16, 2014.

Betty was a devoted, kind, caring and loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was the soul and rock of her family. She was a very selfless and helping woman that would always lend a hand. She had many hobbies but some of her favorite were shopping, hunting, knitting, sewing, and playing the piano, singing, cooking, flowers, gardening, dancing and most of all spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Preceded in death by her mother, Louise Steele; father, Earl Akin Troupe; sister, Patricia Cothron. Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Kinnard, Sr.; children, James Kinnard, Jr. (Elaine) and Steven Kinnard; grandchildren, Stephen Kinnard, Jr. LaShawna Summers, Alicia Ruiz, Joseph Bowman, Bobby Bowman and Jennifer Barton (Donald); 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Sherry Glasgow (Bill) many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Life Celebration will be held 1:00pm Friday at Crestview Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
