Ashley Rea Wagener, age 42 of Bethpage, left this world on February 18,2026, in Nashville,
TN, leaving a legacy of love, joy, and care. Born on March 29,1983, Ashley was dedicated
her family, her passions, and making an indel mark on all who had the privilege knowing
her.
Ashley was mother to her beloved sons, Warren Wagener and Noah Sprankle, her greatest
treasures in life. Her husband James Guschke, was not only her partner in life but also her
greatest cheerleader, sharing in the joys and challenges of their journey together. She is
also survived by her father, Timothy Gibboney, who will forever hold dear the precious
memories of their time together, and her brother, Nick Kennedy, and many more extended
family that she loved dearly.
The warmth of her heart extended far beyond her immediate family, as she cultivated a
sisterhood of friends who will always recall her infectious laughter and unwavering
support.
In addition to her role as a mother and wife, Ashley embraced her passion for plants,
creativity blossoming as she lovingly tended to her gardens. She found joy in creating her
own seasonings, delighting in the flavors she could share with others. Her proudest
accomplishments lay not just in her culinary creations, but in the nurturing spirit she
exemplified throughout her life.
Ashley is predeceased by Mama Sallye, her bonus father Will Kennedy, and her mother,
Lisa Kennedy. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those she left behind, a reminder of
what shaped Ashley into the extraordinary woman she became.
As we reflect on Ashley’s life, we celebrate a woman whose caring nature, protective
instincts, and love for her family created a haven for all who knew her. While she may no
longer walk among us, her spirit endures in the hearts of her loved ones, forever guiding
them, just as she always did.
A memorial service is planned at Pennington Fellowship Church in Nashville, TN for March
14, 2026. Visitation will be from 11 am to 2pm with a memorial service to follow.
Ahsley’s family and friends appreciate all the love and support that has been shown to
