Alan Lee Schwartz, 84, of Gallatin, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2026.
Born December 31, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late William and Pearl (Landis) Schwartz.
Alan was a retired federal employee with more than 20 years of service. He had a lifelong interest in collecting model cars and enjoyed researching his family history through genealogy. He was also an avid fan of Snoopy, a simple joy that brought him lasting enjoyment.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine; his son, Bill (Kristi) Schwartz; and his stepchildren, Robert Butt, Steven (Julia Bishop) Butt, Teresa (Chris) Scott, and Kristina (Michael) Hartnett.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathan and Lilly Schwartz; Joshuah Bishop-Butte and Damien Bishop; Elizabeth and Alexis Goodger; Jillian Scott; and Shane, Tristan, and Colby Hartnett; as well as his brother, Harold (Susan) Schwartz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette (Weiss) Schwartz.
A remembrance service will be held at a later date.
