So sad to hear of Tracy’s passing. My prayers and thoughts have been with you all ever since I read about his seizure yesterday and knowing that God will be there with you every step of the way as you go through this process of missing him and grieving for him. Knowing where he is and that one day we’ll all be together in Heaven as believers helps so much. It was just last April that I began focusing on your song Celebrate Me Home when my daughter passed away on April 23rd. Through all the tears I can rejoice and say that one day I will see her again along with all of God’s children because of His great gift of love for all mankind.

5 years ago a prayer request for Tracy came across my Facebook feed. Not knowing The Perrys I began to research and found their music. I myself had gone through some debilitating health problems and truthfully felt my life was over. God used the Perrys and Tracy’s journey in particular to break a terrible depression and gave me the courage to fight on. Thanking God for Tracy’s life that has inspired many. Libbi my friend I’m so sorry for your loss. I know you and Tracy were so close. You two were made for each other. I loved seeing videos from the bus. I love seeing videos of the group singing. When you two looked at each other you could see the love you had for each other and for Jesus. My heart aches for you all. You, your son, your daughter n law and Tracy’s dad. You guys are my age and wow that hits home that we just don’t know. You my friend took wonderful care of your man and he knew how much you loved him. We love you and pray for peace and comfort for you. No matter how much faith we have no matter how close we are with God its still hard to lose someone so close to us mainly the love of our life for that many years. Libbi, Jared, and Lindsey,

What can I say that hasn’t already been said: Tracy while he was well and in good health was a very good bass singer. When he got sick prayers were sent up and God heard those prayers and Tracy came back and sang again. Tracy was a fighter because doing God’s work is work he wanted to do. All of you have gone through a lot. Tracy is home and no one has to worry about him. In Rev. 21: 4 and I quote: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. We know Tracy is at peace with the other gospel singers. My prayers go out to you and your family. May God bless all of you at this time of sadness.

We are all saddened by the loss of Tracy who will always be remembered at our Church for his humor & smile even during the difficult years. The times when he picked on Libby or patted her head & when he cranked the chainsaw at our church each and every time you came by our way.. We loved each and every time we got to feed you and fellowship after your performances before you hit the road for another location. You were all such a blessing to be around as your entire family & group have always been to us. I know that the Heavenly Choir is sounding so much sweeter with the addition of Tracy’s bass voice added in as we know his glorified body is running the streets of Gold shouting Hallelujah I made it home to the place i have ministered about in song for so many years. We pray for peace & strength to the entire family as you Celebrate This awesome man of God home ❤❤

It was only 1 week today that you were comforting me in the lost of my wife and I so appreciated it so much. Just wanted you to know that I am praying for all of you as I know that you did for me and will continue as I am sure you will for me. Take comfort in that Tracy is at home where there will be no more hurting, no more needles sticking him, no more pain and in just a little while we will all be able to join him in that perfect land of the living. May God Bless you one and all. Much LOVE to you all.

Tracy was one of a kind. When God made him he had to break the mold .
I first met him at Blue Spring Sing back in 1984 ( or 85). I worked part time for a small gospel music station and my fave family group was there ( The Perry’s). I have known The Perry’s since Libbi she was 4 or 5 at a service at Amicola Falls Church.
That day Libbi was furious with the “ most arrogant, infuriating man on earth “
I told her she.better watch it or she would marry that boy, like I did mine.
Sure enough November 20,1986 the Love Story, The Proclaimers of the gospel, and a Couple that spoke life into so very many was born.
They took into their homes and gave futures to many in gospel music, fed so many and NQC and never ever asked anything of anyone but to know for sure you had a one on one relationship with Jesus Christ.
The gaping hole left in SG music cannot be replaced, tho Jared is doing an amazing job( look whose son he is)…
The Chainsaw will be what most in Hamblen County, Morristown remember so well and Akita will never be the same
We love all of you,, Libbi, Jared,Lindsey, Oreo, Grimes and Harley… comes from Dyson as well.

I’m so sorry for your loss, but Jesus has promised His children that we will see our loved ones again in Heaven. What a wonderful promise he has made to us. I loved so many of the songs you sang it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I love the song written by Joseph Habedank, “If you knew him like I know him”. That song has been one of my favorites. My prayers will continue for you and your family in the coming days following this tragic loss. God Bless you!

Tracy fought the Good Fight, despite his massive stroke in 2013, and was a great inspiration to us all. Just imagine, as here on Earth he heard the sweet Southern Gospel music being sung, then he took his last breath here, and burst open the Pearly Gates of Heaven, into the Welcoming Arms of Jesus, for Whom he sang for so many years. As a widow I find this to be true, I weep for myself because I miss my husband

I have always admired and respected Tracy and you, Libbi…even more so in the face of all the adverse circumstances your family has faced over the last several years. I am grateful he is at rest but so full of sorrow on your behalf. I do want to share that you have made a difference in my marriage by a statement you made a few years ago, perhaps on facebook. You mentioned that you complained about toothpaste in the sink and socks on the floor in years past but that you would give anything to experience that again after Tracy’s stroke. I have carried those words in my heart ever since, and they have changed my outlook many days. I have shared them with others as well, and I will continue to do so. The love that they two of you shared has been such an inspiration to me, and I appreciate you for sharing your triumphs as well as your struggles with us all. May God bless you and your family in this difficult time; may you experience the comfort that only comes from Him; and may you feel the love and concern from the many people whose lives you both have touched. Love and prayers to you all.

We know that Tracy longed for the appearing of Christ. Now Tracy is seeing Jesus face to face. Paul said, “As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” God’s blessings and peace to y’all.

These groups are more like family to me. I have listened to them for so many years. The Perry’s are no exception. Libbi and son, I pray God’s comfort in your loss “here” but knowing where our brother is! He is totally reJOYcing! LOve to you all.

Tracy was one of the best bass singers and M.C. that gospel music ever had. He was a kind and humble servant of The Lord Jesus Christ. He finally made it to the Cliff of The Rock — Where he is thanking Jesus for the Plan of Salvation—because he rested his case at The Cross -and glad his family and friends could Celebrate him HOME. Pastor, Joe Arthur.

My Wife Sherry and I have been to many of your concerts, before and after the trying times you have managed through. We so enjoyed the Perry’s, we called ourselves Perry Groupies. I know you have given Tracy everything you had to not only keep him alive but to keep him singing which was his God given gift. Singing those songs is going to be hard for awhile but then the sweet memories will come flooding back and joy will fill your soul. I hope I am there to witness it happening. We pray for the whole Perry family, all those that have been part of your group I am sure are in sorry today. God Bless You!

Although I never knew you personally, I grew up listening to The Perry’s and going to gospel singings where you appeared. My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of Tracy. Libbi, you are a true example of a loving and devoted wife. Tracy was so blessed to have you. My prayer is for God’s arm to hold you & JK up, and comfort you in the days ahead. While we celebrate Tracy being home with the Lord, we are praying for comfort for you and Jared. Thank you for the beautiful music that has strengthened me over the years. Hi Libbi. We have been to your concerts here in Massachusetts through Joe Fitzgerald & Meetinghouse Concerts and are the proud owners of many of your CDs! Such a gift and a blessing to the world with your voices. But this message is for you, Jared, and Lindsey. We wanted you to know that we were saddened to hear the news of Tracey’s passing Sunday from Daniel Britt on Even though we know he now has a glorified body, is singing with joy with all the saints and Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior, it is hard to have him leave family, friends, and loved ones left behind. Tracey, his sense of humor and his gift of voice will be missed. May the precious memories of times spent with him will always put a smile on your face and a song in your heart. May God shower you all with His comfort, peace, everlasting love, and His promises to help you during this difficult time. You have been and will remain in our prayers. God’s continued blessing to you all.

Libby, Jared, Lindsey & Randy – I’m so very sorry for your loss but thinking of Tracy in his new home brings a smile. I know you will miss him terribly but lean on the Lord and let Him be your source of strength and comfort. I have always valued my copy of your “Songs of Power” album because you all cut “What Manner of Man” on that album. It is all the more treasured now that one of the voices sing in the heavenly choir. May God bless you all – Randy, lifting you up that God will help you at tomorrow’s service. – Jeff

    Libby and Jared,

It’s time to Celebrate Tracy Home! I will always cherish those few moments we had together when I filled in for the Kingsmen a couple of years ago. Short time of fellowship, but one day it will be forever. May God Bless, comfort, give strength and grace during this time. Most of all, let’s celebrate and reflect on the memories. Tracy left us a bundle, (not to mention his “chain saw” impersonation)! Love you guys,

Dear Libby and family. I know not words that could begin to take away the hurt you must be feeling. To say I am sorry seems so little. So I shall say that I have been so blessed by the Perry’s ministry. I have sat in my chair and listened to so many songs, but a real blessing is in The Holy Hill’s. My Dad who enjoyed your group died 7 years. I truly believe when Tracy entered heaven and begin to meet friends and loved one, my Dad found him. You are in our prayers.

I feel a great loss and sadness to read about the passing of Tracy. Today, Easter Sunday, 4/1/18, I sang the song “If You Knew Him”. I have long been a fan of the Perry’s and have several of there cd’s and accompany soundtracks.
I know that Tracy now knows our Lord and Saviour face to face. God Bless you Libbi and the rest of the group as you mourn Tracy’s passing. We will see him again!
