    Christina and family,

I am so sorry for your loss, the loss of a friend, the loss of a fellow band mate, talented guitar player and musician. In the short time I knew Lonnie we became instant friends, we both hold old souls. He will be sorely missed in life, on stage, and as a friend. It’s not how long a great friendship is. It’s the quality of friends that one has that makes life so much better .Lonnie was truly one of those friends. He added so much to the Country Heart Band. My job schedule will not allow me to attend Lonnie’s memorial service, but my heart and prayers will be with you.
With love at this difficult time.

I met Lonnie back in the early 80’s when he would buy strings at Sumner County Music in Gallatin where I worked. What a monster guitar player..I used him on sessions..but as good a musician as he was..he was a better friend and man to all who knew him. Sail on brother…

I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. May you find a measure of comfort in knowing that the bible compares death to a deep sleep (John 11:11) and promises that Jesus Christ will awaken all those in God’s memory that have fallen asleep in death (John 5:28, 29). Yes, we have the wonderful hope of seeing our loved ones again. At that time Revelation 21:3, 4 says “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” Until then, may the cherished memories of your loved one and the promises found in God’s word continue to bring you comfort in your times of grief and sorrow. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). For more comforting thoughts from the scriptures please visit jw.org and search “When a loved one dies.”
