My mother told me that when my younger brother, Henry was born , I would. Stand my his crib and talk to the baby. I was eighteen moths old at the time. She said I was thrilled with him. I don’t remember that but I will always treasure my memories of him.
As we got older, we would play in the creek, ride ponies at full gallop, climb in the tobacco barn. Henry would go to the top of the very tall barn, look down and laugh at me. I was too scared to venture beyond the bottom tear. We also, made Daddy mad building tunnels and forts from hay bails in the hay lofts.
As we grew older our family grew larger. There were were nine children born to Henry and Oneida McKoin, four girls and five boys. We all have wonderful memories of Henry.
Henry was loved very much by his family, co workers, and friends. His place on this earth was only temporary, but his place in our hearts will be forever.

There will never be any better nurse than Henry. He was the most compassionate help to his patients. That compassion also shone through in his personal life. A very good man who will be missed tremendously.
Prayers for Jolin, Jamey, and Henry along with all the family.

My favorite nurse to work with was Henry! We always new we were gonna have a good time when he was working. I worked as a CNT and a LPN with him. He never made you feel inferior, he got right in to get his hands dirty with you. Always made you laugh. I remember having one of the worst days ever in nursing school and came to work and told Henry and within 3 minutes he had me laughing it off. He was an amazing man! He will be missed!!! My prayers go out to his family!

It breaks my heart to hear of such a great loss. Henry taught me so much over the years in my nursing career. He was one of my mentors and one of the kindest nurses I’ve ever met. I worked with him in all stages of my career from activities at HCC, to CNA, then LPN, then when I graduated with my RN I remember him coming up to me in town and hugging me and telling me congratulations and he was so proud and new I could do it. I’ve had a lot of good times working with him and learned so much. There’s one thing I know, you can’t learn a good heart and a sweet smile and that’s what I think of when I think of Henry. His family will be in my prayer for I know they have lost such a beautiful soul, but heaven surely gained a beautiful angel❤️
