There are lots of things you are going to have to deal with when you plan final services for a loved one with funeral homes in Westmoreland, TN. Concentrate on their needs as well as what your family needs to grieve and move forward. Once those final services are behind all of you, and you feel ready to move forward, you are likely going to go through your loved one’s belongings and figure out what you are going to do with it all. Some items you may want to keep because they have sentimental value. Other items you don’t want and so you donate those things. Then there are items in between, which could be reused in certain ways. Here are ways to reuse certain items to create memorials to your loved one so you can see them and think of them all over your home.

Create Windchimes From Silverware

Your loved one likely had one or more sets of silverware. And while they are nice pieces, you have your own and you don’t need any more. You can create windchimes from their set, more than one piece, in fact, and hang it outside for your family to enjoy. You can also give some to other family members so they have a set to hear when the breezes blow.

Make A Quilt From Clothing

You aren’t going to want to keep all of your loved one’s clothing, but there are certain items that are hard to give away, too. You might have a quilt made from special t-shirts, for example, and then, you can wrap that around you whenever you want a hug from them. You can also display it somewhere nice that can allow you to remember your loved one and the things they liked to wear on a regular basis.

Craft A Paper Wreath From Old Notes

Did your loved one still send handwritten notes and cards? Those are now precious to you and you might want to place them in a scrapbook. But you can also create a paper wreath from them and hang it in your home, maybe even by a picture of your loved one, to honor them in a unique way.

Make Picture Collage Cards For Thank Yous

If your loved one left behind tons of pictures and you already have copies of your own, you might create some collages of pictures on cards that you can use to write thank yous to people who did things around your loved one’s funeral. It can be a nice way to customize the cards and utilize the pictures at the same time.

Give Items As Gifts

Your loved one might have items that are nice, like a candy dish, a wall clock, and other such things, that you can use as gifts for other family members. They will know where the items came from and that makes them all that much more special after the final services you held at funeral homes in Westmoreland, TN. Speak to on of our expert now.
